What is the aim of the COP15 conference? It is time to realize that this is more or less the last chance to get it done, and to make an agreement. If an agreement is achieved and implemented, then it will be the first agreement since the Kyoto Protocol.
Several countries have announced the margin of the emissions they plan to reduce over time. Some countries are looking for better funding, and some countries are still waiting for the decisions.
At this stage we can only wait for the news and decisions. But it is very positive to see that China has already announced a very good target, as has the US.
If the COP15 becomes a failure, there will be a huge shift in the global situation. The citizens of those countries threatened most by the climate change will try to do something for their own future generations, which may not be on the basis of science and logic.
